On Friday night I decided to surprise the girls with a picnic dinner at the Tidal Basin, for fear that with the weekend's impending rain and wind, that would be our last chance to see the cherry blossoms in full bloom.
While we see the cherry blossoms every year, this is the first time that I visit in the evening hours, so taking photos was a little tricky. I enjoyed experimenting, though.
